Personal Profile

For as long as I can remember, I have been writing stories and making them come to life, whether that be using my parents old video camera, or directing my brothers/friends in a play performed for family. As a storyteller, film was the clearest art form choice for me, as it had the power to transform the viewer to a different time and place.

I am blessed to have had the opportunity to create beautiful art in a variety of ways, including owning my own production company, Blue Pixie Productions, LLC., where I collaborate with businesses and individuals to tell stories that need to be told.

Last year in January (2014), my mother was diagnosed with skin cancer(Melanoma) for the second time. It's been a very long, hard year for her with treatments, so my family and I decided to get together and make a little video of encouragement to her favorite song, "Shake it Off" by my favorite artist, Taylor Swift, whose mother is going through a similar situation. Design III: Time. We had to create an environment based on a piece of sound, so I chose the guitar solo from a song written by my boyfriend and created a video inspired by it. I then set the video up on a projector and had people sit in front of it, pretending like they were in a car. The only rule was someone always had to be in the driver's seat. The message I was trying to convey to them was: Don't Drink and Drive.
